BBBRSUT came about due to a few events in the life of the member manager and family. A few years back, while staying at the family's cabin on an Island, the family’s communal boat decided to malfunction and needed repairs. This resulted in the member manager and daughter to be somewhat stranded on the island. To get from the island to the main dock, a boat taxi was employed costing about $70 for the back and forth trip. At the time, there was hope that the boat could be repaired in time to head back home. This, sadly, did not happen. The member manager made the decision to see if one of the neighbors on the island would be willing to ferry him and his daughter plus their gear to the main dock. By Grace of God, they did. This was truly appreciated. After this incident, it was decided that a boat should be purchased to avoid such an event from happening again. As such a purchase requires careful research and thought, no purchase was rushed into. The following year the member manager decided to rent a boat. This presented several challenges. One was that the boats available were high priced for the types of boats. The member manager settled on using a 12 foot RIB for about $89 per day. The 2nd challenge was that the company renting the boat was an hour away from the member manager’s residence. The member manager dealt with this for that given trip. The member manager then had the idea about creating a boat rental company that provided older boats at reasonable rates and bringing those boats closer to the area where the member manager resides. Thus BBBRUST was born.

The official name of the company is Buddy Boots' Boat Rentals-UT, LLC, an individual protected series of Spirit of the Valley-UT, LLC, a series LLC. Obviously, this is rather long to put on various business documents and even this web site. So, the name was shortened to keep things simple.

Under normal circumstances, the rental season will run from the Friday before Memorial day until the Friday after Labor day. Subject to interest, a few watercraft may be made available for rent until the end of September.
All watercraft will be winterized in the first few weeks of OCT.

In an effort to keep prices low and avoid debt, BBBRSUT is starting out small (very small). There are plans to add more watercraft including smaller & bigger boats, personal watercraft, Kayaks etc. (Safe Harbor Applies) This will be done over time and as finances allow.

The price of renting watercraft from BBBRSUT varies based on a few factors:

• Type watercraft
• Length of watercraft ( generally applies to boats)
• Days that the rental time covers.
  
  • Weekday (Mon-Thurs) costs the least
  • Weekend ( Fri-Sun) is 10% higher
  • Holiday ( the day before, day of and day after) 20% above weekday rates.
    (Holiday rates will supersede weekday and weekend rates.)
• For motor boats there is a $10/engine hour surcharge. This can be prepaid at $7.5 per engine hour.
  No refunds if expected hours are not used. Waived for 2025 Season.

This is a good question. Buddy Boots is a handsome grey and white tabby community cat that has been living in the member manager’s back yard for some time. He has, as his name implies, white colored “boots” on his paws. Gallery coming soon

Due to some legal requirements, BBBRSUT does not at this time provide said services. There are plans to add these services in the future. (Safe Harbor Applies)

As BBBRSUT is starting out small, BBBRSUT will be using the service of a 3rd party for the renting of watercraft.

As BBBRSUT will be using the services of a 3rd party for the renting of watercraft, the forms of payments accepted are the same as the 3rd party service provider.

At Minimum:

• Valid Driver license
• Age: 21+
• Read and Acknowledge Boater knowledge form
• Read and Sign Liability Waiver
• Reservation Code
• Any 3rd party service provider requirements

While the primary renter must be 21, anyone over 16 with a valid driver’s license may pilot the watercraft as long as they are noted at the time of rental and under the supervision of the primary renter. A 2nd driver is allowed at no cost. All others are $5/day. Regardless of who is piloting the watercraft, the primary renter is the one 100% responsible for the watercraft and associated actions.

Take any and all necessary actions to preserve life and protect the safety of all those involved. Then follow the Emergency procedures provided. Since BBBRSUT is using a 3rdy party service, follow the instructions will come from them. Then as needed contact BBBRSUT.
